Wilds AI Privacy Policy

Wilds AI: Web Archiver is a Chrome extension that helps users save web pages or selected page content as portable HTML archives.

This privacy policy explains what information the extension accesses, how that information is used, and what information is collected or shared.

Information We Access

Wilds AI may access the content of the active browser tab when you choose to archive a page or selected content. This can include:

• The HTML content of the current page
• Selected page content, if you choose selection mode
• Page title and page URL
• Page assets such as images, stylesheets, scripts, media, and other linked resources when those options are enabled and accessible from the active tab

The extension accesses this information only when you interact with the extension on an eligible http or https page.

How Information Is Used

Wilds AI uses page content to generate a self-contained HTML archive. Depending on your selected options, the extension may inline page styles, scripts, images, media, and source metadata into the generated file.

The generated archive is saved locally by your browser or copied to your clipboard when you choose that action.

Information We Collect

Wilds AI does not collect personal information.

The extension does not:

• Track your browsing history
• Sell or share user data
• Use analytics or advertising trackers
• Send archived page content to Wilds or a third-party analytics service
• Store your archived pages on a remote server
• Require an account or login

Network Requests

When creating an archive, Wilds AI may request page assets referenced by the page you are archiving. These requests are used to embed supported assets into the local HTML archive.

Those requests are made as part of the archiving process and are not used for tracking, analytics, advertising, or remote storage by Wilds AI.

Clipboard Access

If you choose the copy action, Wilds AI writes the generated HTML archive to your clipboard. Clipboard access is used only for this user-initiated action.

Data Storage

Wilds AI does not maintain its own remote database of user data.

Any files you create with Wilds AI are stored locally in the location selected by your browser or operating system. If you copy generated HTML to the clipboard, that clipboard data is controlled by your browser and operating system.

Permissions

Wilds AI requests Chrome extension permissions needed to archive pages:

• activeTab: allows access to the active tab after you invoke the extension
• scripting: allows the extension to read the current page content for archiving
• clipboardWrite: allows copying generated HTML to your clipboard when requested
• Page access is handled through activeTab, so the extension does not request broad host permissions

These permissions are used only to provide the page archiving features of the extension.

Third-Party Websites

Wilds AI works with pages and assets from third-party websites. Those websites may have their own privacy practices and server logs. Wilds AI does not control the privacy practices of websites you choose to archive.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy if Wilds AI’s features or data practices change. Updates will be published with the project repository or the public privacy policy page.
